About

I’ve spent my career building backend systems, connected device platforms, and the infrastructure that supports them. My work sits at the intersection of development and architecture. I still work hands-on when it matters, but most of my focus is on how systems operate, communicate, and hold up over time.

My experience covers backend services, distributed communication patterns, API design, data flows, messaging, and the technical decisions that keep platforms stable as they grow. In the smart home and IoT space, I focus heavily on device communication, state management, vendor integration, and the real-world challenges that come with connecting embedded hardware to cloud services.

I’ve designed and guided systems across smart home IoT platforms, custom Linux images, and backend applications. I incorporate modern deployment and automation practices into my designs, but my main strength is understanding how the full system works and shaping the direction so the product can evolve without becoming fragile.

If you want a closer look at some of the work I’ve done, you’ll find a selection of public and open source projects on this site, and you can always reach me on LinkedIn if you want to talk in more detail.
